As part of our pledge to attract the best new talent and build a happy, healthy and high achieving team in 2020, we have made it our mission to provide access to unrivalled rewards and benefits for all of our employees.

 

This is because we believe that celebrating achievements and outstanding performance in the workplace is crucial when it comes to inspiring employees, sharpening focus on the job in hand, optimising recruiting efforts and improving attendance. This is all while boosting morale, productivity and overall company reputation.  

 

If the milestones go unnoticed, people may subsequently feel undervalued and demoralised about their role. It also makes it more tricky to track individual and team development, all of which is essential for helping businesses to achieve their strategic and financial goals.

 

In fact, employee benefits are significant in a worker’s decision to accept or reject a job. This is according to research by the Employee Benefit Research Institute, which found that a staggering 78% of employees agree and say that it is ‘very or extremely important’ in their decision to accept a job. In addition, global risk management firm Willis Towers Watson found that 75% of employees are more likely to stay with their employer because of their benefits package.

 

With this in mind we were proud to recently reveal how, in 2020, we are going to give every member of the Claremont team the opportunity to have 1-2-1 coaching with Michelle Flynn, a certified Health Coach who works with companies to help them understand their health and happiness goals.

 

We are offering each employee 12 confidential sessions with Michelle during which they can discuss whatever they wish. This could be around stress management or relationships, improving sleep or developing further at work. 

 

We identified the need for providing an extra boost in our workplace after taking stock of the latest data around mental health. According to the Health & Safety Executive, 602,000 UK employees suffered from work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2018/19 and 12.8 million working days were lost as a result. This equated to an average of 21.2 days lost per case.

 

In 2018/19, stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 44% of all work-related ill health cases and 54% of all working days lost due to ill health. The main work factors cited by respondents for causing work-related stress, depression or anxiety were workload pressures, including tight deadlines, too much responsibility and a lack of managerial support.

 

To that end, the NHS has emphasised the importance of personal and professional support in the workplace to ensure that employees continue to learn and develop. This is with a view to keep their skills and knowledge up to date so that they can continue to work safely and effectively.

 

This is why we have introduced a host of exciting new staff incentives, so that we can make a song and dance about employee success, resulting in a loyal and enthusiastic workforce and a vibrant office culture and ethos.

 

Quarterly incentives: 

 

Lunch clubs at a selection of high end restaurants and team incentives such as a speed boat on the Thames, trips abroad and group activities, including the races at Ascot, Go Karting, comedy clubs and bowling.

 

New employee handbook:

 

A copy will be sent out to all of our employees with advice on company best practice, our mission statement, goals, code of conduct and rewards and benefits.

 

Personal development programs:

 

The 12 sessions with Michelle Flynn (1-2-1), where employees can discuss whatever they need to.

 

A LinkedIn Personal Branding program with Hishem Azzouz, where employees can learn the secrets to developing their own story, crafting messaging and defining their audience. It includes advice about building brand presence online and off and keeping content fresh.

 

Mental health app:

 

In partnership with Paul McGregor and his EveryMind team we have launched an mobile App that allows the team to connect with a licensed mental health professional, learn the benefits of yoga, how to improve sleep quality and much more.

 

Massages in the office:

 

All staff can book a massage which take place quarterly in the office by a qualified massage professional.

 

Duvet days:

 

Once a quarter, employees can phone in and book a ‘duvet day’ off on the day. This is taken from your holiday allowance but doesn't have to be booked in advance.

 

Fruit bowls:

 

A healthy option of fruit is available in the office each week.

 

Breakfast Club:

 

Once a month on a Friday, we will provide breakfast in the office, ranging from healthy one week to McDonald’s the next!

 

Employee of the Quarter award:

 

An award that recognises excellence and will be presented at each quarterly meeting. It is open to everybody to win and is not sales related.

 

New and improved pension scheme (UK):

 

We recently switched to a new pension provider providing a first rate pension scheme.

 

Claremont anniversary breakfast:

 

On your Claremont Anniversary you get to spin our Wheel of Fortune to be in with a chance of winning an amazing selection of prizes and you get taken out for a celebratory breakfast by a Director.

 

Volunteer scheme:

 

Our Values and Innovations team run a volunteer scheme where people will work in teams to help a community cause. This is one day per year and is not taken from holiday allowances.

For everybody who has worked for Claremont for five years or more, we hold an annual dinner where partners are invited too.

 

Summer party:

 

As well as a Christmas party, we also have a fabulous fun-filled summer party.
