I am a young, motivated individual looking to stead myself for the future. I play football in my spare time and go out with friends on weekends.
How would you describe your day-to-day role at Claremont?
My day-to-day role at Claremont consists of a few things. In the mornings, I solely focus on business development, getting in new clients by mapping the market in New York, seeing which companies are likely to hire, and finding who is in charge of the process. Once this is done you can call them or email with a speculative candidate who they could potentially hire. After lunch, I speak to candidates who would fit the job that I pulled from the mapping/specs. Once qualified, the candidate goes into the interview process and speaks with my client. This is where you manage both the candidate and client to see if it’s a good match. If the candidate is happy to go forward, you close them on what they want.
What led you to choose a career in this field?
I feel as though recruitment is a good route for me, as it matches my personality therefore allows me to enjoy my job tasks on a daily basis.
What convinced you to apply to Claremont?
The culture mainly, the people here are very helpful and understanding, who are always looking to the get the best out of every individual working.
What’s the most exciting part of your role?
Doing deals! This is the best part of recruitment as it makes you happy, the candidate and the client!
What’s the most challenging part of your role
Starting the US desk up from scratch. This is tricky as it takes time to do all the mapping, sourcing and supplying.
How is working at Claremont different from previous roles you’ve had?
It is very different to my previous role as I can see myself here for the long-term, this is down to a few reasons but the main one being progression opportunity and good people!
What is your greatest accomplishment since joining Claremont?
Starting a brand-new desk and getting clients from scratch

Football, socialising, and music festivals

Don’t put open to work on your profile as you will be bombarded with recruiters who are just looking to make money.
