2nd line support engineer required by my client a global software services organisation for a initial 2 -3 month contract with view to extend. The role is based in Chiswick paying between £170 - £200 per day.

The successful candidate will be part of the IT Europe team and report directly to IT Europe Group Leader.

The main duties for this Field Support position are:

* Provide level 2 support for internal customers in UK and other sites in Europe
* Provide Laptop and Desktop installations based on specific project requirements across Europe sites
* Provide assistance when required for other professional teams
* Carry out fault diagnosis/fix on PC systems and peripherals
* Carry out changes to PC or peripherals Hardware/Software
* Carry out software configuration on operating systems and applications
* Ensuring compliance with organisation policies, procedures and work instructions
* Learn how to carry out fault diagnosis/fix of the data and voice network, cabling infrastructure and telephony systems, for which assistance will be given

Essential
* Proven record of 2 years of Second level support for a medium/large size company
* Proficiency in supporting various Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008)
* Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong hardware knowledge of PCs, laptops, and peripherals
* Experience in troubleshooting LAN related issues

Desirable
* Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
* MCSE, MCP, CCNA, ITIL certifications
* MAC OS and Apple hardware support
* Experience in using one of the following applications: Clarity, Remedy, SNOW or similar
* Experience in mobile applications support
* Experience in IP telephony support
