My client is looking to recruit a Applications Monitoring consultant for their huge central London based site

The successful applicant will help drive improvements and create new functionality on platforms to provide real-time data and insights to the support teams

Work with a wide range of stakeholders to create solutions from concept stage to production
Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve products such as Netcool, SevOne, ELK, Kafka, Neo4J & AppDynamics.
Be keen to solve difficult technical challenges with creative solutions
Research and develop new tools, technologies and ways of working and sharing this with the team in our regular showcases.
Creating exciting and engaging ways of utilising the vast amounts of data we hold to help our business users provide better service to our customers.
Support Platform monitoring.

To be considered for this role you will need to have he following skills

oDevelop, test, deploy and maintain software
oNetwork Topologies and Device Management (Fault, Performance, Configuration)
oNetwork Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, Syslog, Corba, MPLS, BGP)
oLinux environments
oDatabase Administration (PL/SQL)
oOne or more of the following languages PHP, Python, Perl, Java
oExperience integrating multiple systems together
oInterest and ability to learn other development languages & tools as required.

Successful candidates will become involved in the following

oNetworking Principles (Load Balancing, Firewalls, Switching, Routing)
oBig Data, NoSQL databases & Elasticsearch
oMachine Learning & AI Technologies
oContinuous integration, ideally with Git/Jenkins and Kubernetes
