What you will do

We are currently looking for a Brand Strategy

In this role you will help develop, implement and manage key brand strategies for products and solutions in the Building Technology & Solutions segment of Johnson Controls. In addition, this role will manage new naming strategies, brand refresh, brand architecture and brand rationalization programs within this portfolio. The ideal candidate is both a highly strategic thinker and superb tactical expert, capable of engaging at all levels and with multiple functions within the company.

How you will do it

* Develop clear, customer-driven brand architecture strategies
* Develop articulate communications, competitor analysis and recommendation across brand taxonomies to enable brand strategies
* Partner with Business Unit leaders to design and execute brand strategies that drive profitable growth through sales volume, customer loyalty, pricing and market position in line with business objectives
* Assess and develop new product names aligned with the global operating system
* Develop and refresh key brand positioning strategies
* Manage the aligned execution of new and existing product brands
* Integrate brand strategy in acquisitions, joint ventures
* Deliver and implement clear partner brand strategy
* Conduct regular brand audits and brand training to ensure alignment with brand architecture, visual identity and positioning strategies to build and protect Johnson Controls product brands globally.
* Develop and implement brand management and measurement disciplines as a strategic operating system in the company
* Develop and drive the implementation of brand migration strategies and product rationalization opportunities
* Establish and maintain clear product brand guidelines and visual identity strategies
* Partner with Legal to ensure appropriate protection of trademarks, copyrights and other related intellectual property
* Manage matrix relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Communicate brand strategies to external and internal stakeholders
* Continually evaluate and propose changes and additions to brand portfolio based on changing market conditions and opportunities
* Lead research projects and brand equity studies related to brand strategies and effectiveness as required

What we look for

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related curriculum.
* Progressive experience in marketing, brand, or related experience in a similar field. Preferably with some dedicated experience in brand management
* B2B brand management experience is prefered
* Excellent writing skill and related experience such as copy writing, journalism, communications or content creation for example
* Demonstrated track record of strong leadership
* Excellent communication skills and creativity are critical.
* Must be able to collaborate in a matrix environment to effectively balance Regional and functional priorities for win-win results
* Ability to collaborate and work internationally is required.
International marketing experience preferred
* Excellent written and spoken English language is essential, equivalent to a native user
