What you will do
The ServiceMax BI Analyst will be expected to educate and train managers how to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration. The BI Analyst will work with the business to determine business requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop BI and data warehouse (DW) strategy. This includes working with business and development teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. This individual is accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of management.

You will conduct analyses of functional business processes and functional business requirements and participate in the development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects. The BI Analyst will understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes. You must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment and an interest in going beyond the obvious, delving into the source, the definition, philosophy, and foundational roots of a data element in order to create information.

How you will do it
As the ServiceMax BI Analyst you will configure the system settings and options. You will plan and execute user acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Your Day-to-day will also involve administrative and technical activities in order to support the business unit. As well as evaluating, escalating and coordinating resolution of environment-related issues with appropriate personnel.

You will be answering questions from end-users and providing training to new users as needed. And assist in post-implementation support and system enhancements. You will resolve customer software complaints and issues, as well as respond to suggested improvements, enhancements, and resolution. The ServiceMax BI Analyst will assist in training less-experienced software development team members. They also assist in the development/support of software user manuals and test plans. A key part of this role will also be Report Writing using the Salesforce platform.

We are looking for a Servicemax accredited Business Intelligence Analyst who has technical skills and is an advanced user of complex computer programs to mind data sources and look for trends. The Business Intelligence Analyst needs the ability to determine what data trends mean. Being able to analyze the data is crucial, analytical skills and background is a MUST
Once the data is analyzed, the Business Intelligence Analyst must communicate their findings to the company or their managers.
You need to be able to problem solve and recommend solutions for creating more revenue and reducing loss. Time Management is key when working on large projects and many data streams and many deadlines. Being able to juggle it all is crucial to the job of the Business Intelligence Analyst.
