What you will do
we are now seeking an individual with experience in Buying, who is keen to develop their career within Procurement. The role is responsible for buying Land-Based Security Sub-contracting services, a critical business unit and our highest revenue business area.

How you will do it
You will be required to work closely with the Land-Based Security Procurement Manager, Senior Direct Materials Buyer and key stakeholders, including Category Managers, understanding spend requirements and negotiating prices as appropriate.

*Manage commercial and contractual interactions with external suppliers.

*You will be responsible for implementing and supporting the creation of sourcing plans for the local categories based on internal requirements, supply market analysis and cost models.

*Stakeholder management: Engages, obtains sponsorship and influences senior level stakeholders.

*Supporting the Senior Buyer and Procurement Manager to create and implement sourcing plans for complex categories.

*Providing market insight, understanding cost drivers and creating cost models.

*Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate into sourcing strategy.

*Using market and other data to inform buying recommendations.

*Assisting contract and category negotiations across the portfolio.

*Supporting supplier performance, relationship management and post-contract value creation.

*Supporting the function to provide the end to end procurement process; delivering cost savings, spend under management & driving innovation.

*Building & updating pipeline activity & tracking delivery against plans.
