Field Projects Service Engineer - Fire and Security

What you will do

The role of the Field Project Service Engineer is to provide design technical and commissioning support as required on CCTV, Access Control and Integrated systems to deliver projects that meet the requirements of the design specification while remaining sensitive to cost, budgets and timescales.

The successful engineer will Service the Fire and Security systems to the relevant industry standards, providing exceptional customer service with industry leading technical knowledge. We are looking for engineers who have the ability identify and rectify problems before they occur. How you will do it

Review of system design prior to service works and highlighting of any apparent technical, functional or compatibility issues.

Provide the Project Manager with the required level of technical and commissioning support for the duration of the project.

Ensure the system is serviced and functions in accordance with all relevant industry standards and that activities comply with customer and company health and safety procedures.

Commissioning and configure system to meet the design specification and customer requirements.
Provide technical troubleshooting expertise and manufacturer liaison when required.

Conducting project handover and ensuring all relevant documents are passed to the Project Manager.
On larger projects act as the single point of contact to organise on-site activities.

What we look for

Experience within Fire or Security industry with knowledge in servicing and design. Experience and knowledge of town CCTV systems, Access Control and Security systems industry.

Expert knowledge in mainstream and top end Access Control, CCTV and Security systems including cameras, locks, door furniture etc.

Working knowledge of industry standards, demonstrable knowledge of IP technology and Analogue systems and have a logical approach to troubleshooting.

Had or have previous experience working in a customer facing environment, hold a full clean driving license.
