Job description

What you will do
You will support the operations team in delivering a long standing national contract overseeing the whole process from acceptance of order through to the dispatch of goods. Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure the right stock levels are maintained and contract databases and records are kept up to date.
You will ensure that Purchase Orders are placed and product is made available for the operations team. You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring product is available in our warehouse to meet all our customer requirements.

The role will be office based from Rochester and you will report to the Operations Manager. You will work as part of an operations team and across all business units. You will work closely with our project coordinators and project managers to arrange product collection by engineers or to pick, pack and dispatch product directly to site.

The role will include manual handling of all stock items.

Critical will be the successful applicants' ability to communicate openly with colleagues, suppliers and customers to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The successful applicant must be Tenacious with a "can-do" attitude and must be persistent, resolute in focusing on maintaining the highest standard of workmanship.


How you will do it
*Receive, process and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and processes.

*Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases.
*Verify product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports.
*Periodic inventory cycle counting.
*Receive and book in all daily shipments being delivered to the building to include manual handling of stock for placement with our stores.
*Coordinate all daily shipments being picked up from the building.
*Inform project team when material has arrived and when it ships out.
*Coordinate any material/product to be picked up by engineers.
* Manual handling of all stock items
