Job Scope:

The Country Manager for Hong Kong is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business leader who enjoys a client facing role and the challenge of growing the business. They will lead the delivery team and support local sales to position the company as a leader in the Hong Kong market. This role focuses on growing the local business to increase profitability.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and planning: Formulate and implement business policies and strategy on a local level based on the global group strategy. Direct strategy toward the profitable growth and operations of the business locally, focusing on sales and delivery functions. Develop strategic plans to reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities agreed with the Executive Committee.

Budget: Create and oversee organizational budgets and monitor the operating and financial results against plans. Manage the P&L of the local organization.

Legal compliance: Ensure that all country regulations and guidelines, company standards and procedures and legally compliant.

Team management: Build, motivate, coach and lead an effective team of exceptional consultants. Coordinate the work of team leaders in developing key targets and objectives and ensuring ownership of these. Collaborate with the Head of HR to build initiatives to retain talent. Responsible for employer branding, employee engagement, talent management, recruitment, standardization of the compensation and benefits, performance reviews and people development.

Culture: Empower, advocate and support ONE company culture with a focus on building trust between employees and the company and creating great work atmosphere.

Company presentation: Represent and promote the business to customers, potential customers and professional associations. Maintain great communication and exchange with other country leads on an international level in order to improve and optimize collaboration within the company and secure opportunities for new and existing Clients.

Marketing Activities: Collaborate with marketing and business leads to build the company brand locally. Devise advertising and promotional plans and oversee product positioning and global brand marketing development.

Reporting: Report progress and sales successes and present on budget reports, re-forecasts, employee utilization, back and forward log, pipeline coverage and other KPI's as requested by the Regional Director and/or the Executive Committee as required.

Innovation / think out of the box: Propose idea's that are innovative and that will add value to the organization on a local and/or international level.
Training: implement new training programs that will improve the team's professional and interpersonal skills.

Basic Requirements:

*Must be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with some financial qualifications or training - a solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning is essential as this role involves agreeing annual budgets as well as producing financial reports.
*Strong understanding of how a business operates and successful candidates will have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen.
*General management experience is essential.

*The ability to recruit high performing staff and monitor performance.
*Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
*ERP knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics products.
*Excellent English and Cantonese communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
*Willingness to learn and be challenged.
