Desktop Support Technician - initial 3 month - £150 per day - central London

My client a leading consultancy who do a lot of work within the banking area are looking for an available Desktop support technician to join a major banking organisation based in Central London for an intial 3 months and rolling. Daily Rate £150 per day. Immediate start

Overview:

- Advance hardware and software problem diagnosis
- Advance software usage advice and configuration changes
- Replacement of faulty computer components (mainly desktops / laptops / monitors) - Customer interaction
- Completion of service tasks by following agreed procedures
- Physical installation and / or de-installation of PC hardware
- Identifies risks and develops solutions for client tasks.
- Serves as escalation and issue resolution point for other onsite technician
- May prepare documentation to record and track issue resolutions.
- Makes recommendations for process improvements within the team
- When required provides team leadership and mentoring
- Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post and as advised by Management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good knowledge of Diagnosis tools and processes
- Knowledge of basic LAN network cable management
- General infrastructure understanding (networks, servers, AD etc.)
- Familiar with general usage of Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of the purpose and operation of software distribution technologies (e.g. SCCM)
- Windows 10/ O365 operation and configuration knowledge
- Proficient in Windows-based operating environment, specifically in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems may also be required
- Ability to work independently to ensure deadlines are met however request support or escalate matters when required
