Job description

Our client is an institutional-grade financial services network that connects companies, organisations and investors to the global markets ecosystem through a unique blend of digital platforms, end-to-end clearing and execution services, high-touch service and deep expertise.

Job purpose:

Reporting into the Regional Marketing Director PRC, you will be responsible for the PRC region's display and SEM advertising performance. Managing their 3rd party advertising agency, media spend will be optimized by any means necessary to ensure targets are met. Therefore, a data-driven and analytical approach is essential, as well as lateral thinking. Working closely with our commercial and client facing teams of PRC will be key, so campaigns are aligned with the business strategy and resonate on a local level. Presenting progress and results at agreed intervals will also be required, as will working in conjunction with colleagues in Marketing to deliver your collateral.

You will have gained industry experience in the financial markets, particularly online trading consisting of forex, commodities or equities, and understand the technology that facilities this activity.

General Duties:

*Executing display and SEM advertising strategies which sets a path to delivering on agreed targets, utilizing both direct media partners and programmatic platforms
*Managing client's 3rd party advertising agency and programmatic partners, you will be confident in providing them with clear direction to get the best out of them, in order to exceed targets
*Thinking creatively in terms of new using new advertising channels and methods to reach our target audience
*Excuting monthly media budget allocation and media plans
*Improving efficiency and maximizing the return on marketing investment (ROMI) of display and SEM by way of implementing best practices, process and optimization techniques including:
oImplementing and testing bidding strategies designed to maximize KPIs
oLanding page A/B testing to increase CVR
oCompetitor monitoring and research
*Experimenting with audience targeting and layering
*Creating briefs to produce collateral designed to improve performance including ad copy and landing pages, considering audience research and profiling
*Working closely with the local marketing team to:
oEnsure advertising content speaks to the local audiences
oIdentify opportunities where display and SEM can support local marketing initiatives
*Managing the relationships with internal stake holders and taking the lead in confidently presenting progress and results to them, upwards and across the business for your region, articulating information clearly
*Awareness of media owner's advertising policies that apply to our products, and ensuring advertising accounts are authorized
*Accurate accounting of spend and working with accounts payable to make sure vendors are paid promptly
*Implementing tracking and redirects so performance can be monitored accurately
*Analysis of the full display and SEM funnel to ensure each touch point in the journey is optimized
*Maintain an appropriate level of competence through ongoing training and staying abreast of display and SEM innovation and best practice
*Maintain in-depth knowledge of all working practices, programs, deliverables and results, to explain and evangelize how display and SEM work and supports overall business goals

Knowledge and Experience:

*A minimum of 2 years working in performance acquisition advertising
*Working knowledge of both programmatic, direct media and SEM buying, bidding strategies, optimization and testing methods and account management
*Adept in managing 3rd party bidding technology/DSPs, ad-servers and analytics platforms
*Proven track-record of delivering sales campaigns, both ecommerce and lead-generation
*Experience with advanced analytics and attribution modelling is advantageous to ensure a data driven approach to all activity
*Familiar with the relevant advertiser's polices that govern our products in PRC
*Experienced in personal investing is preferred
*Experience working for an advertising agency is preferred

Qualification and Skills:

*Educated to degree level or equivalent
*Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
*Strong project management, multitasking and decision-making skills
*Ability to prioritize and execute multiple programs in a highly dynamic environment
*Strong problem-solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions and outcomes
*Experience of working in virtual teams, and of working remotely with international resources and stakeholders
*Persuasive communicator, both orally and in writing
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
