Embedded Software Engineer- Crowborough, East Sussex- Up to £65k
I am currently working with a global specialist within Gas Analysis and Gas Systems who are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to join their fast-growing team in Crowborough, East Sussex for a permanent opportunity.

Overall purpose of the role:
*To develop and maintain software for the companies range of gas sensor transducers

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
*Develop Embedded C and C++ software for a range of gas sensing products sold globally.
*Work in a Multi-disciplinary team.
*Be actively involved in full product lifecycle from requirements to release.
*Develop unit tests for created code.
*Ensure code is highly robust with high availability.
*Actively contribute to a supportive, ethical work environment
*Work to existing quality and technical standards and processes whilst supporting continuous improvement
*Ensure code is aligned with the company coding standard.

Essential skills and experience:
*Relevant industry experience as an embedded software engineer.
*Good coding skills in C and C++.
*Knowledge and extensive experience of an RTOS such as ThreadX, Unison, QNX, Integrity etc.
*Flexible, tolerant, multitasking attitude when working under pressure.
*Tenacious problem solver.
*Confident working with minimal supervision.
*Good, proactive communication skills.

Desirable skills and experience:
*Ability to debug multithreaded software using Lauterbach Trace32.
*Control theory.
*Digital filtering.
*Familiar with IEC 61508.
*Familiar with IDE such as Eclipse.
*Python programming including use of Conda.
*Klocwork Static Analysis.

Essential qualifications:
Either: -
*BSc Computer Science / Software Engineering
Or: -
*BSc Electronic Engineering plus relevant software experience
