We're looking for a flexible, organised and motivated individual to join our surveying department. Your role will be to carry out surveys, prepare quotations in line with the specification requirements of our Key Account Clients on a national basis. Assist in the audit process of the JCI customer base and to carry out survey requests for other parts of the business as and when required.
How you will do it
As a Surveyor you will carry out surveys which are pre booked via our centralised planning team and complete in line with customer requirements; including drawings and layout of fire and intruder protection systems. You will be required to provide the formulation of job pricing in conjunction with the Key Account Manager. Design cost effective solutions that meets the customer specification and expectation, and also gain competitive sub-contracting quotations as required.
You will make recommendations for extra works identified through surveys and audits, these may include other product offerings or services supplied by JCI. Take ownership and compile job packs in line with quality procedures. Ensure full compliance to fire and security standards, as well as implement all Health and Safety requirements of both the Customer and that of JCI.
What we look for
Willing and able to travel, which will require staying in hotels where appropriate
Comfortable with Microsoft office and utilisation of IPads
Previous technical or technical sales experience
Multi-disciplined on security systems to include; access control, CCTV, intruder alarm
Systems configuration experience
Experience of fire alarms and care communications
PC Drawing skills - Visio/CAD/Auto sketch
