Business Company Car/Fleet Coordinator - West Lothian

My client is a highly dynamic IT Services and Consultancy organisation with a strong presence across the UK.

They currently have an opportunity for a company vehicle coordinator/transport coordinator to join their team in Central Scotland.

The role will involve:
- reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager and working with IT and Logistic teams, your primary responsibility will be the organisation and control of all Fleet and related compliance measures and ensuring proactive and efficient use of all transport resources.

Your Responsibility's will include:
- Managing Operational KPI aligned to vehicle and driver utilisation
- Line management and providing leadership to the Driving Resource Team
- Vehicle Management - ensuring fleet is compliant by monitoring all safety checks, vehicle inspections, maintenance and servicing
- Route planning across UK delivery sites ensuring optimisation of delivery windows and efficiency within fleet vehicles and resource.
- Working with third party courier companies to co-ordinate customer deliveries within agreed Delivery SLA's
- Review and analyse driver working patterns - ensuring adherence to government guidelines
- Maintain accurate fleet and resource schedule to forward plan activity and easily identify utilisation gaps or scheduling conflicts.
- Liaising with build engineers and resource schedulers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customer in line with expectation

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Transport Management
- Excellent co-ordination and scheduling skills
- Strong Team Player
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in maintaining accurate data for forecasting and decision making.
- A clean UK driving Licence

Desirables:
- Microsoft Navision experience
- Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage
- A solid grasp of Excel (and the rest of MS Office)
