As a Gas Suppression Estimator you will be working as part of the Suppression Pre Sales Team in support of our Territory & Account Managers across the JCI business, taking a client's brief and turning it into a high end deliverable proposal, that complies with company policies and industry standards. You will be working on a wide variety of service and install projects, of differing scales and complexity, across a number of UK markets. You will lead the bid support we offer to the sales community on Gas Suppression systems - supporting with surveys and quotes, and also mentoring other members of the estimating team to aid development of our gas suppression knowledge and capability across the board.
How you will do it
As a Gas Suppression Estimator you will take a qualified opportunity and work with the team to understand the scope, identify the best solution, develop a delivery plan, source supply chain costs, produce a specification and compile a high quality tender document.
You will need to engage with the customer, influencers, suppliers and internal members of the JCI team (sales and operations) throughout the tender process, creating a proposal that aligns with the bid strategy, is technically compliant, commercially competitive and has clear differentiation utilizing JCI's enterprise capability and solutions.
What we look for
Minimum 5 years' Industry experience working with Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems
Highly Experienced in using full Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Microsoft Excel)
Good communication skills, and strong customer focus
Analytical and pro-active approach
Willingness to travel to sites UK wide to carry out surveys and support customer meetings.
Strong technical, design based knowledge of full range of gas suppression products and systems
Good time management skills and capacity to work to challenging deadlines
