Head of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

I am currently working with an innovative global high-tech scale up organisation who have a position available for a highly driven sales & strategy professional to head up the Business Development & Strategic Partnerships division. This is a permanent position based in central London.

My client is a technology organisation fundamentally based on an application. Any software (SaaS) knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

This opportunity will suit an entrepreneurial type minded individual as you will be creating and shaping a brand new function from scratch. Where this is a brand new opportunity, you will almost be acting as a Chief Executive of a start up (your own desk) within a start up organisation. You will be creating strategic partnerships with organisations by selling the company product.

You will have full autonomy to do as you see fit, however, with this responsibility it is essential that you have the knowledge and ability to successfully create a department & division from scratch. You will be able to work from a blank piece of paper and generate your own business cases, create your own relationships with stakeholders etc., work with marketing teams and know how to utilise them. You will almost treat it as using these people as vendors for your own company within a company.

Responsibilities:
* Drive revenue generation through prospecting, qualifying and closing new business
* Build and manage sales pipeline
* Lead generation and qualification
* Work alongside client success to ensure ongoing optimisation and growth for clients
* Be able to confidently sell both face to face and over the phone
* Develop strong relationships with key clients
* Full involvement in sales strategy, lead generation, account management, and collaborate with product marketing and product management

Experience required:
* Proven sales experience and business development within a technology-based company
* Be data-driven in order to develop successful sales strategies and processes
* Ability to build high quality relationships with key clients and accounts
* Strong commercial awareness
* Lead generation and qualification
