My Client a Global IT Consultancy is looking for an experienced Lead/Manager within Hybrid Cloud Development for a major project within a leading financial services organisation based in the City Of London for an initial/6 Month Contract. Daily Rate is negotiable dependent on experience.

Determine the strategic direction and execute in each of the Cloud technology areas under Enterprise Services responsibility.

Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services
Defining and governing quality standards; maintaining expert knowledge in required technology area across multiple platforms;
Building strong decision-making and problem solving skills within the required technology area across multiple platforms;
Ensuring system supports business needs in terms of design, technical debt is under control and the system can be cost-effectively maintained;
Leading development team to agreed timescales and standards; coordinating development effort and working closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Developers
Applying your technical experience in the development of high quality applications/systems as per the agreed requirements; delivering on time and to group and local standards;
Being part of a multi-disciplinary, agile product team designing and building distributed systems using modern technology stacks with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies/paradigms and to implement solutions
Oversee development of code, understand a DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, and build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems
Oversee development of Cloud based platforms and deliver infrastructure, platform etc. "as a Service" by working with Business & other DevOps teams
Maintaining and developing good, clear communications and relationships as appropriate with development team members and stakeholders.
Work with internal middleware delivery teams to ensure alignment with Cloud strategy
Work with application architects, developers and infrastructure architects to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions that meet the application needs.
Develop and engineer product delivery solutions for all middleware products supported by the organization.
Experience & Technical Skills

Proven technical leadership commercial experience where you have successful delivered complex projects;
A high level of motivation, quick to learn and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Previous knowledge of the following technologies: Jenkins, Groovy, MuleSoft, Hazelcast
Working knowledge of multiple middleware disciplines (Application Servers, Messaging/File Transfer, Compute/Data Grid and Application Lifecycle Management).
Understanding of Unix system administration.
Successful delivered functionality using shell scripts, python, ruby, perl, puppet, ansible, Cloud Foundry buildpacks or BOSH
Puppet certification is desirable
Strong knowledge of Java8, Spring framework
Cloud Foundry or AWS certification is desirable Understanding of Cloud technologies and Containers
Experience with cloud providers (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud);
Experience with virtualization (e.g. Virtual Box, Linux Containers, CloudFoundry, Docker, Kubernetes);
Development and testing principles, processes and methodologies (BDD, Agile);
Experience of working in Git and continuous integration/ deployment environments;
Innovative approach to solving complex problems with an excellent level of attention to detail.
