Job description

A leading European online FX trading and financial services company is expanding their new office in Hong Kong and is now looking for the Head of Partnership, Institutional Brokers & Channel Development, responsible for setting strategy and development for IB and new channels mainly in China. You will lead a diverse team to manage business and distribution relationships with IB, general agents and institutional accounts across China and even global markets.


Reporting to the General Manager, you will be based in the Hong Kong office, leading a sizable team of sales managers and relationship managers.


Your Key Responsibilities
- Oversee business relationships and distribution strategy with IB, institutional accounts and new channels

- Develop and foster long-term relationships at the national brokers and consultant level, serving as the main point of contact

- Develop and execute a business strategy with IB and key team members to position the Company as the leading FX trading service provider

- Work closely with teams of business leaders and field based sales and market executives to develop China and global broker and agent/channel relationships

- Assist in performing government lobbying when appropriate

- Build and lead a matrixed team of individuals dedicated to supporting the China market, IB, institutional accounts and other new channels

- Work on a strategy to drive awareness among strategic partners, build pipeline and enhance close ratios for new business that is specific to assigned IB and institutional accounts

- Develop strategic alliances and distribution partnerships with the broker community

- Identify key industry trends and emerging FX customer requirements and drive this information deep into the business and product development

- Plan and lead regular meetings with key industry leaders and IB

- Coordinate with key internal leaders to provide visibility into the status and value of each IB/channel

- Collaboratively interface with sales and relationship managers to engage with local brokers and/or customers

- Continuously engage with internal functional areas such as product, operations, finance, marketing, and various business units to develop and maintain deep knowledge of products and capabilities and coordinated message and approach to interface with the IB community


Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 10+ years of experience in the FX and/or investment/banking industry plus IB partnership and management experience
- Superior oral and written communication skills at the executive level and ability to build credibility to gain the respect and confidence of key brokers and institutional accounts
- Proven ability to operate and effectively navigate in a highly complex, fast-paced and continuously evolving matrix environment
- Deep understanding of organisational dynamics inside IB
- Strong people skills with direct experience in successfully forging and managing strategic relationships
- Strong organisational skills and project management skills
- Team player with a high level of positive energy, integrity and ability to influence, interface, and gain credibility across different levels in the organization
- Willingness to travel to support IB and internal sales and relationship management teams
