Head Of Software Engineering - London - 3-6 Months - £900 - £1100 Per day (Inside IR35)

A leading financial organisation based in the City of London is currently looking for an experienced Head of Software Engineering to come and work closely with the CTO for an initial 3-6 Months.

The role:

As the Head of Software Engineering your mission is to to help lead the software development function where you will be responsible for full delivery across the desktop, mobile and app platforms. You will be fully responsible to build and develop the Engineering team, taking on a cross functional role, working closely with the rest of the technology and product teams, as well as the commercial and marketing teams to translate their needs into technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Translating the overall Tech strategy into an Engineering strategy, standards and roadmap.
Driving the ongoing performance of the Software Engineering function across three sites.
Managing the overall capacity of the Software Engineering function, ensuring demand and supply balance and that differences are positively negotiated and resolved.
Working with peers in Product and Marketing to prioritise work and ensure the delivery of CtM's Strategy and Strategic Execution Plan.
Recruiting and developing a high performing engaged team.
Accountable for adherence to tech principles: achievement of Immune System standards and the continued delivery of initiatives to within 10% of the committed date, whilst maintaining 99.99% availability.
Overall accountability for multiple delivery teams, stakeholder management and full lifecycle of delivery and support (Build, Run and Own) of CTM's products.

Will have deep experience of putting in place the people, structures, processes and practices to facilitate high-quality engineering delivery.
Execution and delivery - Will display a strong focus for delivering results and getting things done in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Will have excellent prioritisation skills and a ROI-focused approach to decision-making. Will be driven by impact and group achievement.
