HVAC & Refrigeration Design Engineer - 6 Months - Essex(UK& Global Travel) - Navy systems

Daily Rate is negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience

An engineering degree, or specialist HVAC&R qualification is preferred.
Experience of designing and/or supporting HVAC&R systems is required, preferably within the naval, marine or offshore sectors.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD and industry-standard mechanical HVAC&R system design and analysis software.
Some experience of electrical design and/or HVAC&R controls will be a benefit.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a thorough and rigorous approach to problem solving is required.
Must be eligible to work on UK Naval vessel

Typical Responsibilities

Working from customers' requirements, specifications and drawings, assist in the design and development of HVAC&R systems that fully meet the stated requirements while maximising value for money.
Undertake calculations, selections and drawings as required to complete the HVAC&R design activities
Assist in the specification of HVAC&R equipment technical requirements and work with the contracts team to evaluate suitable suppliers.
Work with the contracts team to ensure customer deadlines are met and that equipment supplied meets our requirements and stated specifications.
Assist in the development of test and commissioning plans to enable the HVAC&R system to be set to work and proven to meet the customer's requirements.
Assist with commissioning and approval of HVAC&R systems to ensure problems are quickly addressed and solutions developed where required.
Help evaluate new HVAC&R equipment and solutions and develop best practice procedures to ensure that Johnson Controls can deliver cost effective optimised designs that exceed our customer expectations.
