Hydraulic Technician

What you will do
As a Hydraulic Technician you will be working on Hydraulic Power Control Units (HPU's), Well Head Control Panels (WHCP's), Top Side Termination Units (TUTU's), Hydraulic Pressure Accumulation Racks, and Interface/work-over panels. Intervention Workover Control Systems (IWOCS), Chemical Injection (CI) packages. Fire Suppression & Deluge Control units.

How you will do it
Day to day you will be involved in the identification and installation of hydraulic components, reading and understanding P&ID schematic drawings, General Assembly drawings, Parts Lists and Test Procedures (Flushing, Pressure Testing, Leak Testing, Functional Acceptance (FAT) work, assembly of Twin Ferrule systems including Swagelok, Parker and Gyrolok/Hoke. Cutting, deburring, bending, correct pulling on/setting of ferrules. Assembly of these types of tube systems into valves.
Flushing of Hydraulic systems and cleanliness sampling to ensure compliance with prescribed cleanliness levels.
Testing and Calibration of Instruments including Pressure Relief Valves, Pressure Yield Valves, Pressure & Level Transmitters, Pressure Switches, Pressure Sensing Pilot Valves, Pressure Gauges and inspection and repair (including modifications to equipment) for use in the workshop manufacture and testing.

*Swagelok, Parker ALOK compression fittings & Hoke Twin Ferrule systems training with certification.
*Autoclave or Butech systems training with certification.
*ecITB Technical competence certificate of achievement in Installing and Assembling Small Bore Tubing (SBT) Assemblies - Code TSBT01.
*ecITB Technical competence certificate of achievement in Disassembling and Reinstalling SBT Systems - Code TSBT02.
*Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training Course (with CA EBS) (5750) Includes HUET, approved by OPITO.
*Offshore Oil & Gas Industrial Minimum Safety Training Standard (MIST), approved by OPITO (5301).

[Preferred Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience]
*Fault finding within hydraulic systems to allow for modifications to existing well head control panels.
*Able to travel away from home for on-site installations and commissioning of new equipment within the oil and gas industry both onshore and offshore.
*Ability to install and inspect ATEX approved glands, would be an PASMA certificate of Competence for Tower & Podium use, would be an advantage.
*IPAF Operator Training Certificate for Mobile Vertical (3a), and Mobile Boom (3b) Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, would be an advantage.
*PAMAS Contamination control training, or similar certification.
*ecITB or similar training certification in Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques
*FLT driver, would be an advantage.
*First Aid at Work certified training, would be an advantage.
