We are looking for an air conditioning mechanical engineer to join our UK Installation team. The team design, installs and maintains mechanical HVAC services in various establishments around the UK. Part of your role will be to install split AC & VRF systems to these facilities. The projects will vary from 1 split AC unit, to larger AC systems and associated chilled water, domestic services and controls therefore, experience installing these services would also be advantageous.
How you will do it
As part of the Installation team you will maintain a close working relationship with the Customer, Operations Management including the Project Manager by reviewing, improving and successfully achieving installation objectives.
We have a fantastic team of installation engineers based around West Midlands area. You will record, supervise and be part of the team onsite which will include the Project Manager.
You will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget and in a professional manner. You will conduct regular safety and quality audits on site to ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with defined procedures.
Health & Safety is extremely important for staff and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with all legislation.
What we look for
Recognised refrigeration qualification (City & Guilds)
F-GAS 2079 card
Experience with major manufacturers of AC equipment, such as Daikin, Mitsubishi and Panasonic
Experience with DX, VRF and split AC systems, including installation, wiring, testing, commissioning and fault finding the complete system
Ideally SSSTS qualified
Other qualifications, e.g. First Aid and PASMA an advantage
Experience in installation & servicing of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
Electrical and controls experience to be able to identify and resolve electrical and control issues
Capable of working without detailed procedures and with limited supervision
A committed can do positive attitude with the ability to integrate and work as a member of a team
