What you will do
As Internal Communications Officer you will take responsibility for marketing and communication within the business ensuring consistency with external communication. This will involve delivering business area communication from senior executives to employees through a range of traditional, digital and social media. The Internal Communication Officer position is key to maintaining and improving employee engagement including reward and recognition, business performance updates, major projects, company growth and ensuring visibility of the senior leadership team.

How you will do it
Working as part of a small and close-knit team, the Internal Communications Officer will develop an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers to ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders. You will be responsible for planning, editing and writing content for a variety of mediums including social media, monthly newsletters or regular email bulletins to communicate with staff internally raft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form. You will ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation and external communication. In order to continually learn and develop you will respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly

What we look for
The successful Internal Communications Officer will have proven experience in a communications team and ideally internal communication for a large organisation. We look for candidates to have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees. Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication is essential. The successful candidate will display strong interpersonal skills to establish professional relationships at all levels and the confidence and ability to manage stakeholders along with the creative ability to devise communication strategies
