IP Engineer urgently required for a global voice and data services provider. This is a permanent role based in central London. My client are an industry leader and have a great reputation within their market.
As the IP Engineer you responsible for designing, implementing and configuring IP and IP TDM related Network Solutions for financial sector clients and to prove connectivity into the Distribution and Core layers of the network model. The IP engineer will also be required to forward fix any errors that are found during the testing phase on a network that consists of Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions. The IP engineer will be required to document all projects from beginning to end in which they are involved and to ensure all details are correctly transferred to management databases.

Experience required:

Experienced in the telecommunications field with extensive and detailed knowledge in a wide portfolio of technologies and products across IP/TCP, SDH, DWDM, TDM and SIP.
Must have a good working knowledge of Cisco (CCNA, CCDA or CCNP) L2/L3 switching and experience with various routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP).
Multicast and MPLS knowledge advantageous.
Visionary attributes in developing installation processes and improving network designs favourable.
Experience in support management, with a broad know ledge in fault resolution within the networking environment.

The IP engineer will be required to be flexible with hours of work to incorporate potential week nights and some weekends. Shift pattern required which 3 x shift ranges from 07.30 -18.30.
