My client, a massive financial concern based all over the UK, is looking to recruit a Technical Support Manager for the west country based offices

This role will be primarily be responsible for all regional offices in the South West of England.

The main thrust of this excellent role will include

- Managing a team of colleagues
- Providing expert advice and guidance consultation to colleagues.
- Issue escalation
- Managing Field Support operations
- Overseeing upport for all office infrastructure technologies across all tiers within agreed timeframes, or SLAs.

- Ensuring that staff follow operational guidelines, principles, and processes
- Define, enhance, and adhere to defined processes for all operational tasks.
- Conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, IT/operating company policies and best practices within IT industry standards.

- Managing relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.
- Ensuring the installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Desktop Technology hardware/software is completed
- Process improvement
- Hardware/software selection
- Assisting senior on-site manager with approved IT projects.
- Coordinating local projects - eg moves, acquisitions etc.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensures that information is shared appropriately within the team.
- Provide, coaching and mentoring to subordinates.
- Perform staff performance and salary reviews.
- Produce and manage budget within a geographic market; accounts for delivering favourable budget results.

You will need

*Previous experience within a similar Desktop Support or IT Manager position.
*Experience of leading a team of desktop support colleagues across multiple sites, carrying out appraisals, staff performance and salary reviews, coaching and mentoring
*Very strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
