The role of the Service Delivery Team Lead is to ensure that effective high-quality IT support is provided to all staff

Responsible for supporting IT support analysts, providing support and coaching as needed
Managing the day-to-day work allocations for assigned team resources.
The role holder will remain abreast of changing standards, best practice, and evolving technologies and technological opportunities within IT service management
Delivery against departmental objectives and to continuously improve the essential processes and procedures for the team.

Other areas of responsibility include

IT service desk leadership
Lead, motivate, coach, and inspire the team reporting into this position
Set structured team plans for the week and month ahead
Ensuring all incidents and service requests are appropriately logged, prioritised, and progressed efficiently and professionally.
Ensure IT support needs are understood and factored into the service delivery team workload planning.
Provide workload and staff capacity information to the Service Delivery Manager
Ensure that all essential technical information security controls are applied consistently and operating effectively.
Virus and malware detection software, operating system patch management processes, access authentication standards, and hardware, network access controls.
Reporting on team performance, daily and weekly, as required.
Driving up customer satisfaction scores through people, process, and system initiatives
Work cross functionally with other colleagues, to develop and improve the overall user journey
Coaching a team through continuous development sessions to support personal development gaps
Taking an active role in the development of ongoing future initiatives
