Job description

Operational Resilience SME

Working for a leading insurance / financial services organisation on an initial 9 month contract (outside IR35). Will be remote based with 1 day (max 2) a week in Cambridgeshire. I am looking for a Subject Matter Expert who can help define, shape and drive the response to the FCA Operational Resilience directive.

Project Scope
*Identify important business services - these are services which if disrupted could cause intolerable harm to consumers, and impact market integrity.
*Carry out a mapping and testing exercise to determine the end-to-end requirements including resource of these important business services.
*Set appropriate tolerances for disruption. To do this, we should consider - at what point would disruption cause impact that is untenable? The FCA is mandating that vulnerable customers must be central to the setting of impact tolerances.
*Consider where there may be vulnerabilities, based on what is known, and commence remediation.
*Test the ability to remain within tolerances more rigorously e.g. war games/scenario testing to interrogate the resilience of business services - validating or invalidating the initial vulnerability hypotheses.
*Draft a self-assessment document which explains how we meet the requirements. The format is not defined but must be made available to the FCA from 31 March 22.
*Ensure robust internal and external communications plans are in place.

Experience required:
*Must have financial services background / experience
*Prior FCA experience is ideal
*Project / programme management understanding
