Job description

PMO Manager Required to join Automotive Repair company as part of a global transformation programme. Taking over from the current programme Manager after a period of handover, you will work closely with CISO to support PMO and planning activities across the Cyber Security team.

- Outside IR35
- Predominantly remote.

You will be tasked with:
  • Working with the PMO Manager, design an approach, process, and tools to manage the project plan to the 'right' level
  • Provide management information to report on the overall project plan status
  • Highlight the impact of missed timelines and milestones and provide impact assessments of the effect on other parts of the plan
  • Provide robust challenge to timelines, critical path milestones and pre-requisite milestones
  • Development of materials requirements to support the plans
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to enhance continuous improvement
  • Analyse Change against the Project Plan and provide 'what if' analysis to inform decision making
  • Liaise with and maintain strong working relationships with all other areas of the Programme and Business as required within the job role.
  • Play an active part within meetings as required by the role
  • Communicate effectively with the team, management, and customers, both internal and external.
  • Oversee and manage other team members assigned to assist in planning related tasks, such as dependency and risk management

Experience Needed:
  • Understanding and knowledge of PMO Processes and Procedures
  • Experience in the Portfolio, Programme and Project life cycle
  • Experience in Process improvement activities
  • Proven track record of working within a complex project and programme environment
  • Experience in driving risk identification best practice in organisations
  • Experience creating and providing reporting from the plans, including RAG reports
  • Can work to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Proactive - looking for solutions to problems, without being asked
  • Expert in the use of modern Planning Tools and Systems
  • Prior experience within Cyber Security or knowledge of this space would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite
