What you will do
As a Procurement Manager within the UK&I Field Procurement team you will be supporting a multi-million pound spend, driving savings via the sourcing tools and techniques, assisting strategy formulation and implementation, and will drive the execution of all locally sourced bespoke and low value spend. You will be responsible for managing a pipeline of "localised" sourcing projects, ensuring lowest total cost of purchase. The Procurement Manager will co-ordinate multiple projects across numerous elements of the UK&I Field business ensuring that services are acquired at the right price, time and quality, and providing whatever other support is necessary to ensure the business has the sub-contracting services and results needed to meet end-user customer needs, managing a team of Buyers.

Local interaction with the operational project teams is essential in this role to maximize project involvement and margin improvement - you will act in the role of Business Partner. The role also interacts with the EMEA & Global Sourcing organizations to ensure the seamless implementation of cost saving initiatives and continuously identify and implement incremental cost savings projects where leverage opportunities exist within the UK&I Field business. Manages metrics, KPI's, and team performance. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations and reviews; development plans for direct reports.

How you will do it
In this role the Procurement Manager will manage the sub-contract Procurement team remit from RFQ to final award including price negotiation, quote analysis and negotiation of robust terms and conditions with Suppliers and Sub-Contractors to minimize JCI's risk and exposure. Drive the use, management and compliance of eProcurement to ensure a consistent, transparent and professional approach to sourcing. You will assist with development and implementation of procurement strategy, including for locally sourced sub-contractor range and maintain Master Sub-Contractor List to align with business needs, and manage associated compliance, sourcing new vendors as required.
You will also document cost data and trend analysis; Provide regular reports to management to demonstrate team performance, business compliance to Procurement process and opportunities. In this role you will drive Sub-Contractor Performance Management through the employment of Supplier Scorecard, reviews and Continuous Improvement.
A key part of this role is to establish and maintain effective relationships with Suppliers and internal Customers. Provide thought leadership and act as a Business Partner towards respective business alignment; personally engage in supplier and customer relationship management activities including briefings on progress, escalation management, supplier changes, etc. Engaging business unit leaders regularly, reporting updates, evolving strategy.

What we look for
3 years management experience in procurement role
Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement
Sourcing/procurement, sub-contractor management experience
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Proven positive people leadership and development capability
Management or supply chain management plus contract
Familiarity with lean/six sigma techniques
A level or equivalent
CIPS qualified
Six Sigma certification
Fire and security industry experience
