Project Manager - Data Governance / GDPR

An initial 3 month contract, inside IR35 and remote based, working for a world leading insurance organization as a Project Manager responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects have clearly defined requirements for Data Privacy, Data Security, Data Quality & Data Governance. That regular reporting on progress, risks and issues is delivered to a high standard, as per agreed schedule and that progress against projects is understood, communicated to stakeholders and any delays are explored and mitigated or escalated in a prompt manner.

*Represent the Data Governance team in allocated project meetings, providing updates to programme board on progress of Data Gov workstream, highlighting status of tasks and any blockers that affect delivery dates
*Collate evidence/success measures of delivered requirements
*Carry out supporting tasks as needed to ensure delivery of Data Governance workstreams e.g. Identification of PII data in proposed table structures for new Platform
*Action any temporary risk acceptance or exception to data standards that are agreed with the project sponsor
*Ensure that all processes are documented with assigned resources and ownership for future updates/amendments
*Work with risk team to identify and expand Data Governance Controls and Key Risk Indicators to allow post launch reporting and monitoring of the changes introduced by the strategic projects.

Experience Required:
*Relevant and extensive knowledge and experience of data privacy and security approaches, practices, toolkits and pitfalls in large organisations
*Knowledgeable in project management practises with exposure to agile methodology an advantage.
*Previous experience in similar role
*Strong planning, communication & organisational skills
