My client is in major expansion mode and is, as a result, looking to recruit a Project Manager to join its busy and hard working IT department

The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of new transformation change and IT projects including enhancement of existing products and services, in collaboration with business department leads.

This will include working with senior management and business leads on projects spanning IT/product development, international integrations to support M&A activities, geographic expansion and business projects

The Project Manager will work with major partners (both UK and internationally), suppliers and external consultants to agree a solution, oversee and manage the delivery of a proof of concept and manage the delivery of the solution

The jobholder will also provide consultancy and pre-sales support to the partner sales team

Roles and Responsibilities will also include

Work with IT and business stakeholders to define and agree the project scope and benefits case;

Work with stakeholders and suppliers globally

Move ideas from concept to a defined and scoped project, taking ownership of the project assessment phase to make sure that the project is initiated correctly;

Define and articulate the resource requirements and management approach for each project;
Ensure that risks and assumptions are clearly identified early on (RAID);
Collaborate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to plan projects, agree deliverables and ensure that business priorities and customer expectations are fully understood;
Actively monitor progress against project plans, resolving issues and initiating corrective action


Skills and Experience required for this role include....

- Experience of leading projects and / or programmes of work
- Experience of stakeholder management

- Thorough understanding of delivery disciplines, processes and techniques
- Good knowledge of structured project management approaches, planning and budgeting procedures

- Positive 'can do' attitude with a strong desire to make a difference and to act as an agent for change
- Exceptional customer/stakeholder communication and management skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to predict and pre-empt problems (identify risks)
