My client, a rapidly expanding market leader in the Finance space, is looking to recruit a Senior Projects Director for its growing IT function

To be considered for this role you will need to have at least some of the following skills

The Role

The Director, Projects will deliver a portfolio of global projects through the application of high quality project management techniques,

The successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing a dedicated project team and working closely with a number of global stakeholders at multiple levels within the organisation.

Skills and experience


* Self-motivated, organised, and passionate about delivering a sector leading service
* Decisive and forward thinking, with strong vision and strategic capability
* Excellent cross-functional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
* Exceptional leadership skills, specifically with regards to project teams and stakeholders
* Ability to network, drive and manage change at all levels both internally and externally
* Manage a large workload under pressure independently and with limited supervision

* Proven experience as a Program Director operating at a senior level in previous organisations
* Evidence of delivery success through others and through personal endeavour
* Designing and implementing programmes/projects of substantial size, complexity and value
* Working in a fast-changing environment with multiple stakeholders

Strategic Alignment

* Understand the organizational strategy, priorities, and roadmaps
* Participate in the development of strategic planning to deliver the programme
* Justify business decisions to project teams and relevant parties
* Update stakeholders on project management progress and results

Project and Programme Management

* Deliver a best-in-class project management framework
* Refine documentation for programme scope, project initiation and business cases
* Define criteria for control and management of the programme or project
* Manage escalated queries related to programme design and content
* Capture interdependencies between the associated projects
* Ensure team reports are comprehensive, cohesive and of high quality
* Maintain a firm grip on actions and issues, their ownership and timely resolution
* Promote problem solving, teamwork and risk sharing with clients, partners and suppliers
* Oversee safeguarding, legal and regulatory compliance across the portfolio of projects

Team Leadership
* Maintain a dynamic resource management and forecasting framework
* Set clear team roles, responsibilities and quarterly objectives
* Encourage and nurture team's personal development
* Establish robust and effective mechanisms for monitoring progress
* Align staff to organisational strategy, and embrace my client's vision, purpose and values
