RFID Retail Consultant

What you will do:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a RFID Retail Consultant within Sensormatic, part of Johnson Controls. The RFID Retail Consultant will be a key member of the EMEA Professional Services team and contributes to the successful delivery of RFID programmes within Retail. Encompassing both pre-sales and post-sales responsibilities. You will work in close collaboration with the Project team, and other teams to contribute to successful programme delivery for our customers.

This role will lead the solution design, business process, functional design and deployment plan for both pilot and rollout programmes, participate in pre-sales activity, establish best practices and supporting collateral and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the team.

This position will be based in UK and will involve a significant amount of travel in the EMEA region, for both internal and customer facing activities.

How you will do it:

You will lead customers through their Inventory Intelligence (RFID) solutions journey, providing advice and recommendations, based on expertise and experience, addressing the client needs.
Understand and design solutions across business, application and technology domains and have knowledge of the retail technology landscape.
Plan the most appropriate approach to implementing the SW and HW solution within customer's IT infrastructure by collaborating with the Project Manager to assist with implementation planning, issue management and risk management.
Assist customers with the planning and implementation of change management activities that are required to deliver a successful store performance solutions programme, including training and documentation.
Execute site surveys, software installation, configuration and validation, and in-store hardware installation configuration and validation, software/hardware upgrades and resolving issues.
Assimilate and consolidate customer requests for product enhancements and provide feedback to the solutions management team.
Play a key role during pre-sales phase of opportunities, working in collaboration with other team members in order to formulate responses to RFIs and RFPs, and present Sensormatic' solutions materials to IT and business stakeholders of the customers.

What we look for:

*Experience in the retail sector with specific understanding of operations.
*Exposure to process and use cases modelling- BPMN, UML, and MS Excel.
*Knowledge of Waterfall or Agile methodology.
*Experience with an Object-Oriented language- preferably Java or .Net.
*Mobile development experience on either Android or iOS devices.
*Exposure to SOAP, REST, XML.
