Sales Support Advisor - Front Office Banking

I currently have a contract role (Inside IR35) available for a Sales Support Advisor with experience in the Investment Banking Sector.

The role:
You will be performing and maintaining the standards expected of an Sales Support Analyst within Global Markets
* Primarily providing support for Global Market Institutional and Global Market Corporate Sales
* Supporting all aspects of the transition such as:
o Ensuring trades are allocated to correct sales people in the client workflow tool
o Ensuring sales are aware of any tasks sitting in their buckets, and chase to action
o Act as an escalation point for client / transition issues
o Act as liaison between RMs and case Managers as required
o Assist with trade data / transition process
o Liaison with the ops and legal teams
o Post transition documentation collation
o Reporting to desk heads and relevant RMs status updates
o Assist legal teams and Doc Ops with sales queries
* Understanding common risks (both commercial and legal) associated with certain transactions and products and escalating to Sales and the Programme Team as required
* Responsible for smooth transition throughout the client journey to ensure the customer remains "Best in Class"
* Become an expert of Risk Free Rate market conventions and the firm's standard commercial terms relating to RFR products
* Attending, team meetings to discuss, amongst other things, best practices, specific or unusual transition points and team/wider goals and objectives
* Provision of excellent support service while adhering to the firm's Policy, operational integrity and internal control procedures
* In conjunction with the Sales Support Team leader, track migration activity to the GM LIBOR transition programme plan and co-ordinate the capture of directed MI

Key Skills required for this role:

* Relevant Fixed Income product knowledge including Interest Rate Swaps, Vanilla Options, Cross Currency Swaps, FRNs, Structured Notes and Swaptions
* Knowledge of Equity products such as derivatives and Prime helpful although not essential
* Knowledge of how clients are grouped from a sales angle (i.e. Institutional versus Corporate) and the challenges they each provide
* Understand the MiFID classification in particular those of professional status; Eligible Counterparty and Market Participants
* Experience working in a Front Office Trading/Sales Support environment
* Experience of supporting teams Globally from out of region
* Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint as a minimum
* Willingness to undertake the training/study required in this role
* Relevant knowledge of loan transactions
* Experience of project management is desirable
* A desire to find ways to continually improve processes and service delivered
* Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
* A flexible and adaptable attitude
* The ability to work autonomously and track 3rd party/Line of business "Hand offs"
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
* Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
* An understanding of risk management and ability to ensure own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
