Senior Broadcast Design Engineer
Claremont Consulting has a Direct Hire opportunity for a Senior Broadcast Design Engineer in the Atlanta, GA market. In this role, you will participate in engineering group projects, review designs submitted by other internal and external design resources and will lead efforts to make sure all document and technical standards are supported and met.
Responsibilities:

* Designs and manages the integration team installation of technical systems to support company initiatives.
* Evaluates new technologies and recommends to technical management and internal customers the forward-looking designs and systems to help technology evolution within the business units.
* Provides technical and customer support for all engineering and broadcast related projects within the company operational facilities.
* Will be available for consultation on critical systems that the Senior Broadcast Design Engineer has contributed designs for and has specific knowledge of.
* Acts as subject-matter expert on digital broadcast and IT systems.
* Analyzes and maintains departmental records which include facility technical documentation, engineering project tracking documentation, and broadcast IT infrastructure documentation.
* Ensures that system and equipment documentation is current and implements processes to continuously review and improve systems and documentation.
* Specifies, demonstrates, and evaluates new television broadcast and IT equipment to identify the most suitable solutions to meet project requirements.
* Implements system development and architecture changes as directed.
* Proactively and appropriately communicates the status of engineering projects to engineering management and to customers.
* Works as part of a team to continually develop and improve asset management processes and standards used to support customers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years technical training and a minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience as a Broadcast Design Engineer working with IT, IP Video, and traditional broadcast video system solutions.
* Proficient in the use of AutoCad as a design tool.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project for project milestone planning.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in installing and configuring Broadcast Video Systems, Broadcast Related Computer Systems, IT Networks, IP Video Networks and Servers.
* Proficient in the use of related test equipment including waveform monitors, vectorscopes, multimeters, oscilloscopes, test signal generators, spectrum analyzers, data, and network analyzers etc.
* Demonstrated knowledge of computer networking systems, servers, VM's and related software.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Must be able to work in a multitasking environment.
* Must be able to lead a team to successful task completion.
* Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
* Must be able to lift and move equipment as required.
