My Client a leading IT Consultancy is looking for an experienced infrastructure/operational services lead for a major project within a global Financial services organisation based in London for an initial 6 Month Contract.

Key Deliverables

Provide process guidance and leadership to internal teams responsible for the patching and vulnerability remediation of systems and applications. Partner with infrastructure and applications operations to ensure they are in sync with the patch management policies, standards, and procedures.
Develop, execute, and maintain processes, procedures, and monitor the governance of patch management activities. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand business requirements, manage design and implementation of technical solutions to meet the requirements. Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement to include, but not limited to, deployment of automated patch application across the portfolio.
Manage stakeholder expectations, communications, and coordinate deliverables between technology and business teams, inter-relationships and dependencies between multiple products, projects, and/or applications, including multiple and often conflicting priorities and information.
Develop and implement the necessary operational metrics to be able to track and monitor progress of the various workstreams and processes.
Develop and implement automation where possible.
Manage patching rollout and track progress
Experience & Technical Skills

Proven technical leadership commercial experience where you have successful delivered complex projects;
A high level of motivation, quick to learn and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Advanced knowledge with practical hands-on experience in Middleware product on multiple platforms such as Linux, UNIX and Solaris in production support and surrounding tools along with ITIL processes.
Advanced scripting and programming background is preferred for automation tasks, such as Shell, Java and Python.
Strong leadership skill and a good team player who is willing to listen.
Core competencies: IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, Connect Enterprise and Connect
Direct, WebSphere MQ and WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker (WBIMB)
Knowledge of installation of the Middleware products such as IBMIHS,
WAS, Portal, MQ Client/Server, Control-M agent, BPM in compliance with organizational standards.
SSL certificate management of WAS and MQ.
Configuration changes on existing application environments.
Own the resolution of problems in hand, demonstrate analytical and problem management skills to drive the resolution and prevent reoccurrence.
Contribute to ad-hoc production support requirements.
