As a Senior Java Backend Engineer, you would manage the whole software development lifecycle, from planning and prioritising to testing and release. You would be coming in to join an ambitious and varied team in terms of level of experience in the continuous journey of providing positive growth to the planet.
Build modules and test features before release.
Gather system and user requirements in order to gain a more comprehensive overview of the target market.
Work within an agile methodology collaborating with peers effectively.
Lead and mentor junior developers when necessary.
Within the team, you will deploy and maintain functional, high-quality and high-security applications in the next phase of this business' plan.
You will need:
Minimum 3-4 years working development experience.
Superb and working knowledge of Java.
Previous experience with microservice architecture whether from a junior or senior level.
Superb understanding and appreciation of fast-paced agile methodologies within a startup environment.
Knowledge of Maven, MySQL, Docker, Jenkins and ideally Scrum methodologies.
Experience with cloud technologies is a bonus but not essential (AWS, Azure)
This role can be performed fully remotely but the candidate will need to be based in one of the countries listed above. Ideal if the applicant is open for hybrid.
