My client, a large insurance company in the Birmingham area, is looking to recruit a very strong Senior Network Analyst who will be responsible for installation, layout and maintenance of network infrastructure components
The successful candidate will act as an SME within team and be involved in the overall security and performance of the estate

The Senior Network Analyst's key purpose of this role is to support both project delivery and escalated BAU activity by ensuring the business has stable, performant and secure systems from a day to day operational perspective.
Responsibility for dealing with live system issues/incidents, maintaining visibility, tracking live issues and working closely with key internal stakeholders.
Other areas of responsibility will include
Support issues, small scale business process improvements and larger scale change initiatives.
Incident Management:
Change Requests (CRs) and Project deliverables
Problem Management:
Knowledge sharing
Identifies, diagnoses and resolves/escalates technical problems related to network failure
Analyses and monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance
Third line support.
Support Network Services team in DR and BCP Test Verification.
Prepare and implement firewall security policies,
Deliver routine management, monitoring and reporting
Create and maintain all network infrastructure documentation as required.
Collaborate in delivery with Third Parties;
Maintain the company's compliance standards and own compliance training.

To be considered for this excellent role you will need to have

Previous experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role is essential.
Network and Telephony Technologies
Supporting other critical technologies including AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems, Virtualisation (VMware), Storage (Dell / HP Sans) and Support, IT Security (OpenDNS, Cloudflare, Splunk) and Web Infrastructure
VOIP and related network configuration
Knowledge of configuration around DNS, and DHCP
Understanding of firewalls, best practice, security, VLANs, custom routing
Network security management
Configuring network appliances routers / switches
Routing and switching
Firewall administration
