Senior Technical & Regional Lead - Global development - GLASGOW

My client is a highly dynamic and globally successful financial services organisation.

They currently have an opportunity for a Senior Technical and Regional Lead Manager to manage the development of new services and systems within the Glasgow region of a global development service/delivery.

The role:
This role is for an experienced technical and regional lead to join the team in Glasgow (a key strategic location). You will be required to represent, manage and develop the Glasgow team so that they are well-positioned to assume responsibility for running a number of large scale regulatory projects, focusing in particular on delivering a robust Control Framework that ensures and provides transparency over accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all global transaction reporting. You will be part of a global team, which also has presence in London, Mumbai, Hong Kong and New York; building systems that are critical to the business and solving problems to meet the ever changing regulatory environment.

The person:
- The individual needs to have a proven track record in running large projects and leading, developing and growing large technical teams (25+ people).- Maturing an organization to ensure they have a solid operating model, accountability and responsibility are clearly defined - putting in place controls and expectations- Facing off against business stakeholders with a view of driving both the functional and technical vision
- Ability to drill down deep into technical and functional details when and where required - Experience managing a diverse workstream with a budget of $5m++ - The role requires a strong understanding of and experience driving a robust change management policy.
- You will be required to solve problems and understand technical design.- Rapidly pick up new business knowledge in Transaction Reporting and the associated asset classes.- You will be required to have experience interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders throughout the firm providing transparency and managing expectations.- Able to report on project and program regional status and escalate risks and issues (and ways to mitigate them).
- You will be accountable for the successful delivery of the projects in your region.- Understand the required regulations driving the projects.- Work with Operations Leads, Business Analysts, Developers, Business SMEs and Test teams to deliver projects.
- Work with senior team members to define and implement best practices in systems and procedures. - The candidate will also need to demonstrate experience of having worked within an environment where priorities can change at short notice
