To supervise Install, service, testing and commissioning Automatic Sprinkler systems and Gas Suppression systems to the relevant standards and to provide the highest level of customer service through the maximisation of resources and sensitivity to costs and budgets. Occasionally attend callouts as and when required in order to meet customer demands and internal processes / rotas.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the co-ordination of Fire Suppression installation activities across multi sites by driving efficiency of installation works. Customer co-ordination and monitoring of EHS on site will be part of the role. The Project Supervisor will work across Install and Service sectors to drive operational improvements and efficiencies. Covering all aspects of Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems and Gas Fire Suppression.
How you will do it
Direct supervision of the specialist/subcontractor and commissioning teams to ensure all site based activities and installations are progressed in line with contractual requirements and within applicable industry standards.
Promotion of Zero Harm safe working practices. Promote and monitor working safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation / service debris and waste correctly.
Responsible for the implementation of procedures for the execution of work, briefing instructions to the site teams in a timely fashion and ensuring that best practice is exercised.
Conduct regular safety and quality audits to ensure that the employees and Sub-Contractors are using the correct equipment in the correct manner.
Monitor Health & Safety of allocated site based staff and Sub-Contractors, ensuring compliance with all legislation.
Ensure that all operatives are fully productive, cost efficient and maintain a professional image.
Provide excellent Customer Service to meet the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
To service, test and install the appropriate pipework / systems; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by the customer.
Follow and service / test and repair in accordance with relevant service standards.
Follow and install in accordance with relevant fabrication drawings / instructions.
Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates / pressure test certificates or checklist as appropriate.
What we look for
Appropriate experience in a customer facing environment
Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement
Preferable time served within a technical environment such as Fire Sprinkler Systems and or Gas Suppression.
Must possess sound industry knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold similar qualification.
Knowledge of the British Standard BSEN12845 and Factory Mutual regulations
Full clean driving licence is preferred
Preferred to also possess LPCB Module 1 and Module 2 Qualifications.
