Software Applications Developer- Royston
I am currently working with a luxury retail organisation who are looking for a Software Applications Developer to join their fast-growing team in Royston for a permanent opportunity.

Job specification:
We are looking for a software developer responsible for building applications, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts.

Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

Job role and responsibilities:
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Provide support to applications implemented by the business.

Skills and qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in C# ASP.NET, MVC3 / MVC4/ MVC5, TDD, Web API2, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, SQL Server
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and writing reusable code
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as SVN)
Familiarity with continuous integration
