Staff Security Systems Engineer (EMEA)- Berlin, Germany- Permanent opportunity
I am currently working with and representing a leading automotive organisation who are looking for an experienced Staff Security Systems Engineer with a focus across EMEA to join their team in Berlin for a permanent opportunity.

The role:
The Staff Security Systems Engineer is a seasoned physical security systems technology administrator who is eager to contribute to the global protection of the business's assets, vital infrastructure, and workers by working across an integrated IT Infrastructure organisation.

This position will serve as a thought leader in the fields of security systems application engineering and system administration. They will ensure that the access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and other technological solutions that secure their physical infrastructure are available, performing well, and suitable for purpose. They will monitor and maintain the health of existing systems and provide experience and creativity designing and implementing new systems.

This individual will be a key member of the organization's EMEA Technical Security team and will also collaborate with and support the global Technical Security organisation. The role will have a high level of autonomy and will carry a large portion of the responsibility for the technical security program's success in EMEA.

*Ensure the security systems' availability and uptime.
*Inspect installations for quality and test, programme, and commission new security system devices.
*Evaluate the technology implementations of physical security systems and give risk-based recommendations that consider the influence on company operations, system architectures, manufacturing processes, corporate culture, and employee workflows.
*Support development and improvement of the organisations long-term security system technology infrastructure.
*Prepare reports for global security leadership and other key stakeholders by maintaining documentation.
*With the help of systems integrators and other security teams, manage the maintenance of installed technical equipment and systems. Identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce cost with physical security technology.
*Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, production, security, and others to discover, understand, and address their technological security needs.
*Provide support for junior and mid-career systems engineering staff.

Experience needed:
*Engineered and administered networked physical security systems for organisations with operations in multiple regions and countries for many years.
*Expert knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, video management systems, access control systems and other security system technologies.
*Team leadership experience.
*Technical security industry vendor certifications from Gallagher, Lenel, Avigilon, Hanwha, Honeywell are desirable.
*Related industry certifications (CISSP, CCDE/P, CCIE*/CCNP*, SSCP, PMP) are advantageous.
*Domestic or International travel required as needed.
*Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate with Senior Management.
