Supply Chain Sourcing specialist - Gloucestershire - Permanent - £ Negotiable

A Leading Oil and Gas company is looking for a leading Supply chain Specialist with a background within Engineering to join their Supply team based in the Gloucestershire area. Salaries are NEGOTIABLE /A + Benefits/ Bonuses.

Basic Purpose and Scope:

Implements sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to his/her assigned portfolio.
Provide sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability.
Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives

Relationships:
Direct Report: Procurement & Sourcing Manager
Cross functional relationship: Maintains a close working relationship with Category, Supplier Management and Sustaining teams
Supports all employees and managers within the location
No direct Reports

Principal Responsibilities:
Implements sourcing plans with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost of the products and services.
Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.
Selects a high-performance supply base for assigned portfolio, in accordance with short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers.
Evaluates current and prospective suppliers through supplier reviews, site visits and audits, in coordination with Supplier Quality teams, to assure supply capabilities, on-time delivery, quality and service.
Negotiates prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives.
Executes contract negotiation and development in coordination with Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists.
Effectively communicates with and maintains the highest degree of relations between the Company and all levels of supplier personnel.

Education:
*Bachelor or master's degree in supply chain, Manufacturing or Engineering from an accredited university or college
