Technical Business Analyst (APIs)- 3-month contract- Bracknell

One of my largest clients, a global technology consultancy, are looking for a Business Analyst to come and work on-site at one of their end clients in Bracknell for an initial 3-month contract.

Skills:
Experience with APIs, SOA, micro-services and integration
Business analysis experience in a structured software development environment
Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle
Minimum of 2 years Agile experience updating Story Maps, Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and project documentation
Minimum of 2 years facilitating sprint planning meetings, backlog grooming, and requirements peer review sessions
Must be able to communicate clearly
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast paced, matrixed work environment.
Must be organised and detail oriented.
Learn the new changes and keep the team updated on the same
Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a collaborative environment
Aptitude to learn new technologies as they are incorporated into the system

Roles and responsibilities:
Lead requirement discussions to document, analyse and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications and user stories.
Assist Product/Business Owner with Backlog grooming, User Story development and prioritisation
Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
Analysing client's existing systems and business models
Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings and other agile activities
Analyse existing process to identify gaps and areas of improvement.
Create or update project deliverables, artefacts and technical specifications in accordance with client requirements.
Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems
Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs
Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
Overseeing implementation of a new system including data migration
Adhere to project schedules.
Search existing requirement assets for the purpose of re-use where applicable.
Participate in functional peer reviews to ensure compliance with established checklists and guidelines as needed.
Communicate / liaise with the Team for the scope and solution that has been agreed with the user
Identify test requirements from specifications, review SIT test cases and UAT support
Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
Defect Management which includes Isolate, replicate, report defects and verify defect fixes in SIT
Planning and working flexibly to deadlines
Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
