Technical Consultants are delivery focused technology specialists, who are viewed as trusted advisors by clients. The Technical Consultant is responsible for working directly with customers to deliver and execute Insight's current and future services offerings. The Technical Consultant will also be responsible for assisting with the development of Intellectual Property (IP) in their expertise areas and participating in presales activities as subject matter experts.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
*Act as leader for the differentiation of Insight's technical capability.
*Develop solution knowledge and share this IP both locally and Asia Pacific wide.
*Focus on assisting the practice team to meet the Services Practice's financial target.
*Provide consulting services including discovery, design, build, deployment, test, pilot, documentation, and transition.
*Assist customers in resolving highly technical and complex problems.
*Work within political, cost, and technical constraints to provide the most appropriate solution for the client.
*Collaborate with project manager(s) in project planning.
*Effectively and consistently reports status of projects back to project managers during project execution.
*Assist with project closure by developing project artefacts, participating in project lessons learned.
*Display strong situational analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills.
*Maintain professional demeanour and appearance at all times.
*Collaborate with teammates (internal/external) using various tools and methods (Blogs, Conferences, etc).
*Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization skills.
*Take responsibility as the technical representative of Insight within strategic accounts to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for Insight.
*Focus on maintaining 80% chargeability through billing for solution design and transition to delivery.
*Develop profile as a technical leader in an Insight specialist solution area.
