A leading insurance organization are looking for a Technical Product Manager with extensive experience working with complex customer data to join their team on a rolling 3 month contract. This is outside IR35 and primarily remote with occasional travel into London.
I am looking for customer-first, data-driven product leaders, influencers and decision makers to be directly involved in activities from strategy, from ideation to delivery. This means owning the product vision, managing the backlog, writing user stories, working with technical members of the team and being directly exposed to customers, with research, prototyping, experimentation, data analysis and testing that supports the commercial goals of the company and continually reviews and iterates on our processes to operate with greater agility.
*Being part of a multi-disciplinary team that may include engineers, designers, data specialists, marketeers and others to create technical products that provide the best route to a positive customer outcome
*Managing a product roadmap, creating and managing a backlog of work aligned to that product with up to date, high quality stories that are prioritized in line with product and stakeholder objectives
*Analysing and breaking down requirements, communicating these clearly to engineering teams and working with the Engineering Managers to ensure tasks are appropriate for development
*Applying the relevant lean approaches to experience development, through research, prototyping and experimentation, ensuring that our products deliver value and can be iterated upon to deliver further value
*Supporting engineering teams in trade-off decisions between conflicting dynamics, e.g., scalability vs running costs, caching and latency vs accuracy of data, tech debt vs speed to value
*Pro-actively identifying and managing risk, issues and dependencies relating to the delivery of change
*Ensure that technical documentation and implementation details are accurately communicated throughout the relevant teams and that whatever tools and sandboxes are available to support the consumers of our products
*Highly influential. Lead through empowering others, influence and trust
*Understanding of modern, customer centric products and experience development approaches and techniques
*Understanding how to collect and use data that can drive effective decision making
*Worked in a software engineering environment or has relevant prior experience in the domain. Has a deep understanding of software development practices
*Practical experience of working in an agile fashion, recognising that agile is about continuous improvement
