Technical Training Programme Manager

What you will do

As the Technical Training Programme Manager, you will build on the existing infrastructure to implement a best in class training and development program for Customer Connect Operatives.
You will work across the organization and with key colleagues in the business to provide future engineering talent and to make sure our program is engaging, well organized and meets legal requirements. Delivery of quality training will form a major part of this role, you will also play a key role in ensuring we have the right partnerships with training providers who are exceeding our expectations.

Key measure of this roles will be to:

* Build, maintain and review the Customer Connect Operative framework
* Ensure the safe working and best practices are followed when working
* Deliver the co-ordination of the Customer Connect Operative program with specific focus on the training need
* Ensure the number of required Customer Connect Operatives in program are met
* Maintain 90% retention of Customer Connect Operative's
* Ensure all Customer Connect Operatives have sufficient skills to install products and service as prescribed by the business to aid progression
* Explore the use of the levy fund for training
* Manage the relationship with outsourced external training partners
* Co-ordinate Customer Connect Operatives compensation
* Meeting performance/learning targets of Customer Connect Operatives
* Co-ordinate new starter inductions

How you will do it

* Build relationships with business and operation managers
* Training needs analysis of current incumbents and subsequent development/training plan
* Be the subject matter expert point of contact for Talent Acquisition and Manager at the time of attraction and recruitment
* Drive performance, quality & innovation
* Ensure highest levels of service
* Exceed contractual requirements/expectations
* Be a positive ambassador for Customer Connect Operatives
* Mentoring and coaching Customer Connect Operatives on the job
* Delivery of none technical training, eg: Customer Service
* Development the of Customer Connect Operative program framework for each channel

What we look for

* Experience of driving Zero Harm
* Track record of designing, developing and delivering Engineering development schemes
* Technical background - ideally related to our industry
* Proven track record in delivering training and providing coaching in the field
* Outstanding communication, project management, relationship building skills and supplier management skills
* Experience of employer engagement
