Job description

A leading European online FX trading and fintech company is expanding their new office in Hong Kong and is now looking for a Web Content Manager, Greater China, responsible for maintenance and optimization of the websites and client portals of all brands in both simplified and traditional Chinese languages.


Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, you will be working closely with teams such as marketing, development, product and back office to ensure quality delivery of the website and client portal content and experience that can best suit the needs of Chinese audience (mainly in China) and align with the business strategy in the Greater China market.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with development and marketing teams to maintain and improve website and client portal content and experience in Chinese languages for all brands
  • Work in tandem with marketing and design teams to deliver UI/UX that meet the high-quality graphic standards, in line with the corporate brand consistency
  • Work closely with development and network teams on optimizing performance (e.g. accessibility, speed, stability) of the websites, client portals as well as other key applications for Chinese clients
  • Provide tech expertise that is specific to the China market


Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (both spoken and written)
  • In-depth knowledge of China-focused tech specifics, such as local browsers, tech instruments, etc.
  • Understand CDN concept especially related to CN firewall
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • Client-server architecture principles
  • Good to have knowledge and experience in:
    • Frameworks
    • jQuery
    • PHP code understanding will be a plus
  • Familiarity with content management systems including Drupal(advantage) WordPress (at least)
  • Able to use basic image editing tools to perform crop, resize, or other basic graphic adjustments
  • Proficient understanding and experience in cross-browser compatibility issues and troubleshooting
  • Proficient understanding and experience with code versioning tools such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and able to apply them to websites, client portals and key applications
  • Customer-experience driven
  • Results driven/commercially orientated
  • Previous CRM experience for China market is strongly preferable
  • Industrial knowledge and experience is a plus



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
