Katie Bridges

Customer Success Manger

Please provide a brief background about yourself:

I have been working at Sourcebreaker for the last 4 years, which is a Recruitment Technology software that helps Recruiters uncover hidden candidates and job leads in the market. I started the company as a Customer Success Manager which entailed training and up-skilling our customers to ensure the adoption of our technology. After doing this for 3 years, I moved into a management role. I am now currently managing a team of 6 in our Customer Success division.

How would you describe your day-to-day role?
Leading one of our Customer Success Divisions to ensure clients are maximising the results they are finding on SourceBreaker.

This includes managing a team of 6 Customer Success Managers who specialise in training and engaging our current clients.

What led you to choose a career in this field?
I previously worked in Recruitment and loved the industry. This role has given me the opportunity to focus on building relationships with our current client base, rather than prospect clients.

What convinced you to apply for your current role?

Honestly, the company! On my second interview I met the founder of SourceBreaker (which is something every single person that joins SourceBreaker does) - for me this is a great way of representing a business and also gave me an opportunity to really understand where SourceBreaker was going in the future.

What’s the most exciting part of your role?

Seeing the team grow their careers. I have seen individuals with only a small amount of experience grow into some of the most talented people I have ever worked with.

How is working where you are now different from previous roles you’ve had?

I have been very lucky in my past roles and have always worked alongside very driven and motivated leaders. However, if I had to say one thing, it would be the level of autonomy we have at SourceBreaker! Every opinion matters, no matter what level or how much experience you have had.

What is your greatest accomplishment since starting out?

Growing and managing the team! Management is never something I was planning to go into - especially in a tech company. I always thought to be a Manager you needed to know the answer to everything, however, I now realise this is not the case - nobody knows all the answers!

What’s the best piece of advice you would offer to future women in their careers?
Even if you don’t think it's for you, give it a go, you never know what opportunities may arise!
